I was listening to Joyce Myers yesterday, when I heard something that really touched me.
I may not quote it exactly right but it was something along the lines of “God recycles trash, that he takes what the world would throw away… and says rise up you mighty man of valor ”.
I really liked that statement.
That is great news to those of low degree, for the poor, the weak, the feeble, the unlikely.

Have you ever felt like, "Who am I that the Lord would look down upon me, much less would choose me, call upon me, or would make something great out of me?"
There are a lot of people in this world who feel helpless, hopeless, worthless and insignificant.
Thank God you don’t have to be rich, famous, or hold some big office in Congress to be of importance to God. Just any ole nobody will do. The nobodys of the world are somebodys to God.

Some of the greatest people in the Bible felt the same way.
I have found that often times God uses the unlikely to do great and mighty things. And time and time again in the Bible He makes capable those who are incapable.

He could have chosen a rich, successful King in a warm fancy home in the finest of linens to raise His only Son, yet He chose Joseph and Mary and a manger.

Gideon said, "I am the poorest and the least in my father's house", yet he was told… rise up you mighty man of Valor (Judges 6).

Moses said, "But I don’t speak well", but God said, "Go and I will be with your speech and teach you what you should say." (Exodus 4).

The same Saul that Christians of that day feared, later became known as the Apostle Paul, who wrote 2/3’s of the New Testament. And this same Paul once said, "Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am chief" (1 Timothy 1). That’s a big statement for someone who has wrote a large part of what we live by today. Yet God chose him, changed him and used him. Not bad for someone who once saw himself as chief amongst sinners.

It is amazing what the Lord can make out of our life if we will turn it over to him.
He made an army out of dead dry bones in Ezekiel 37:1-10. If he can make an army out of dead dry bones He is able to make something out of you!

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, ALL THINGS ARE BECOME NEW.

Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV) For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Do you need a hope and a future? You can have one today.

John 10:10 The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.

Start the New Year off with hope this year, with a new life, a new you, a new future.
If that fire you once had is not burning like it once was, rekindle it!

Paul told Timothy, Wherefore I put thee in remembrance THAT THOU STIR UP the gift of God, which is in thee. (2 timothy 1:6)

Call out to the Lord today, begin the New Year in fellowship with Christ and as a New Creation.

God Bless,
Happy New Year!!!

Let God Make You What You Could Never Be Before.
