Romans 5:8-10
Ro 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
Ro 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him.
Ro 5:10 For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life

My friend, this speaks of a love that is not drawn forth by any merit or goodness on our part.
This God kind of love love's without demanding anything in return.

God is not causing you problems.

He went ahead and showed His love, while we were yet sinners; still enemies.

Maybe you say, "I was never God's enemy."
If you are in league with sin, you'll be numbered with the enemies.
God then left it up to us if we would love him back or not.
He gave his life even though you might choose Satan.
You can go to hell if you want to, but because of God's love, you don't have to.
You will have to choose.
Romans 5 is an account of the ruin, and the rescue of man.

When I was born because of my connection with Adam, I was born into sin.
I was born with an inheritance and that inheritance was certain death, physically and spiritually.

When Adam transgressed, he became a spiritual dead man. The dominion he had in the realm was lost. He was separated from the fellowship he had with God, and sin and death began to lord over him, and were passed on to all mankind. It began in Adam's own family as brother rose up against brother.
Every time we rise up against our brothers and sisters we walk in the similitude of Adam's sin.
The day you were born you inherited that.
No one had to teach us to lie or want our own way. It came naturally.

Verse 12. Sin entered the world and death by sin.

Every problem you face today it's origin can be traced by the curse of sin: poverty, sickness, fear, grief, loss, etc.
The answer is in Romans 8:2. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
The death cycle was broken.
Bless God forever, Romans chapter 5 tells me that love broke the chain, the love of God, manifested in Jesus Christ. He had no other reason, man was still the same creature, but because of love, Jesus made a way to be born again, created a new creature with a new Father and a new inheritance.
My connection to Adam, promised certain death, but now my connection to Jesus promises eternal life.
Not only that, but our text (Romans 5) makes a list of possessions and blessings brought to us by Jesus: our inheritance by the new birth.
Verse 1Peace with God and Justification.
This is not the kind of peace that means we quit fighting.
We have a concept of peace that if 2 enemies are not bombing each other, they are at peace, or if a husband and wife aren't quarreling each day, they are at peace.
This is not that kind of peace. This is peace through justification that means all transgression is forgotten.
Abraham was justified through faith and was called the friend of God.
It is like a couple that didn't just quit being at odds with each other, but fell in love all over again.
Verse 2. Graces
On top of peace comes graces.
I am no longer an enemy of God, but I have his unmerited favor.
I am not blessed because I earned it, I am blessed because he loves me.
This Scripture says we have access by faith.
I wasn't born into this grace, it has been made available to me.
Verse 4.  Hope in the glory of God.

Not only are we blessed with what is in our hands, but in tribulation, trials, trouble we have hope of the
glory to come: hope of what we haven't seen yet.
Verse 5.  The love of God shed abroad in our hearts.

You have been given the ability to forgive and forget; that is the God kind of love that is shed abroad in
our hearts by the Holy Ghost.
If you are unable to do this you should seek to be filled with the Holy Ghost.
Read verse 6. Christ died for the ungodly.
It also implies that there was a time when we were without strength, but now by the Holy Ghost we have strength in him.
Verse 9. Saved from wrath.
Verse 11. We have received the atonement.
If you read this chapter it is an account of from rags to riches, spiritually and physically, and all these blessings are available to you.
The work of Jesus gained you access, but there is something you must do.
There is only one way to change you inheritance. You must be born again.
Jesus said in John 3:6-7, 6  that which is born of the flesh is flesh and that which is born of the Spirit
is Spirit.
7  Marvel not that I say unto you, you must be born again
He said this to Nicodemus, a man who was a ruler of the Jews, a man who seemed morally correct.
Today love will break the chain.
God is love, and He is wanting and waiting to make you free.
