Hebrews 7:25 Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

This Bible we hold is not a history book or a book of philosophy as so many have named it. It is a Book of Life.
It is the Word of God.
It is the revelation of Grace from Genesis to Revelation. It is the account of the fall of man and the uttermost depth that the mercy of God would reach to save that fallen man.

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

The Amplified Bible: For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power (making it active, operative, energizing, and effective).

Proverbs 4:20 My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
Pr 4:21 Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
Pr 4:22 For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh

Jesus said in John 6:63, The words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

There are many great mysteries and great revelations of Truth in this Bible: Great accounts of supernatural miracles.
But the sweetest revelation to me is the ability of Grace to reach and save to the uttermost the fallen and the damned.

Our Scripture began today by telling us who they are that will be saved: Them that come unto God by Christ Jesus.
There is no limitation here of race, denomination, rank or social class, but "them". I like the word "them" because it includes me. Them that come to God by Christ Jesus can be saved no matter what their apparent position before men might be. The important part is where these people come to.

You see, you can come to church or come to religion, but that doesn't mean you have come to God.

In John chapter 3, Nicodemus is religious but lost.

Matthew 7:22-23 tells of some church people that had done wonderful work and Jesus said, "I never knew you".

Friends, it is one thing to go to church. It is quite another to go to God. Don't be content with formality.
It is one thing to stand in a congregation and repeat the Lord's prayer.
It is another to come to God with an open heart and ask for the redemption power of the Blood of Jesus to save you.

Friend, it is as possible to sit in church and be lost as it is to sit down in the bar and be lost.

Who is going to be saved? Those that come to God by Christ Jesus.

There are going to be people lost. People are going to find themselves in the region of the damned that never took a drink of booze, that never used drugs, that never took God's name in vain, that were good to their neighbor and their family,
But that is not a license to do these other things either.

Our verse today also tells us the extent that this Grace reaches: To the uttermost. You may be the uttermost of sinners, yet God's Grace can reach you.
There is a verse of a song that has stayed with me. It says:
No matter how far I wandered away from God's plan,
I've never been farther than the reach of His hand.

But what does it mean to come to God?
"Coming to" implies leaving something else.

Call someone to you. Did you notice that that person could not come over to you and stay over there?
And did you notice that all of the person moved?
Part of them didn't stay over there and part come over to you. You can't bring part of yourself to God either.
You must bring all of yourself to Him.

You can't just do something devotional once a week or once in a while and live the rest of the time like the world and expect to be saved, because you haven't really come wholly to God. A good number of people have tried that.

People try a lot of different ways to come to God. Some people worship nature and mother earth. But you can't get to God that way. Nature can show you the work of God, but can't get you to God.
If you enjoy the beauty of nature, worship the One who created it!

Some people try to reach God by good works thinking they can in some way earn a way to God.
But the Bible says without the shedding of Blood there is no remission: The Blood of the Lamb without blemish.

Some people think that if they give enough money to the church or some TV ministry they can reach God.
Listen, God uses gold for blacktop. He paved the streets of heaven with it.

There is one way to come to God.
Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

And in John 10:9, I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved.

In John 10:1 He said, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.
In these Scriptures Jesus says, "I Am the Way. I Am the Door", not there are many doors.

The world's systems are falling apart. The nations of the earth have compassed Israel. Human wisdom and understanding are not going to prevail. As it was in the days of Noah so shall it be at the coming of the Son of Man.

Friend, there is One Way out of the trouble you're in: One Way of escape, One Plan that will save you. His name is JESUS!

If you are trapped in Satan's chains cast your eyes on Jesus. Look to an old rugged cross at the place called Calvary.
Look on a face marred more than any man's. Look on the Hand that only brought healing nailed to that cross, the back that was whipped and beaten, the side that was opened. See the Sinless Lamb and the Blood that was shed for sin: For your sin and mine, and come to Him.

If you want to be saved, you must come to God by Him that was slain.
The Bible says in Acts 4:12, Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

2 Peter 3:10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.

Are you ready?

I am not asking you to come to a form of religion or some type of emotional experience or denomination.
Come to God. Come to Jesus. Come to the Blood and accept His redemption.

Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

Acts 2:37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
Ac 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost
