Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood He entered in, once into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
If you enter into the Holy Place today, it will be by His blood.
Hebrews 10:12-14. But this man after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God, from henceforth expecting till His enemies be made His footstool. For by one offering He hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.
Question 1. Have you been a partaker of His death?
Galatians 2:20. I am crucified with Christ.
Romans 6:6. Knowing this that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be destroyed.
Romans 4:25. Who was delivered up for our trespasses and raised up for our justification.
On the cross Jesus became sin for us. It was our spiritual death and our trespasses that he bore. He became identified with us on the cross, that we could be identified with him in righteousness.
He was our substitute completely!
Romans 6:8. Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with Him.
As Christ died for our sin we are to be partakers of that death and to die out to sin: Repentance.
Have you died with Christ?
Have you died at the cross or are you just looking on?
Question 2. Have you been buried?
If we are crucified with Him, we must be buried with Him.
Romans 6:4. We were buried therefore with Him through baptism into death.
Colossians 2:12. Having been buried with Him in baptism.
Baptism is a type of our burial with Christ. His body lay in the tomb, but His Spirit paid the penalty for man's sins.
All that were in Christ from the foundation of the world died with Him and were buried with Him.
The man who receives the redemptive work of Jesus need not go to Hell, but can go free, while the man who refuses Christ's redemption on his behalf must be sent to Hell.
Romans 6:1-11 outlined our connection to Christ in His death and burial; our identification with Him.
So question 1 was, " Are you crucified with Christ? Is the old man dead. Repentance.
And question 2 was, "Have you been buried with Him? Baptism.
Question 3. Are you risen with Him? Resurrection.
Hebrews 1:5 and Acts 13:33 tells us that when God raised Jesus from the dead, He said, "Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten Thee.
Jesus was the first born from the dead. Now He raised people from natural death, but Jesus was the first born out of spiritual death into eternal life.
Romans 8:29. For whom He foreknew He also foreordained to be conformed to the image of His Son that He might be the first born of many brethren.
Conformed means to be made after the pattern or to follow a pattern.
Colossians 2:13. And you being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh you did He make alive together with Him.
Ephesians 2:6 tells us we have been raised up with Him to sit with Him in heavenly places.
II Corinthians 5:17 says we are a new creature.
1. Are you crucified with Him? Repentance.
2. Are you buried with Him? Baptism.
3. Are you risen with Him? Born of the Spirit; a new creature.
If you are then do this in remembrance of His suffering in your place. Tell of His suffering.
If you would like to make Jesus the Lord of your life, say this prayer of repentance out loud:
Have mercy on me, O God, according to Thy loving kindness and the multitude of your tender mercies. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from sin. I acknowledge my transgressions. My sin is ever before me. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right Spirit within me. In Jesus name, Amen.
