Psalm 103:1 A Psalm of David. Bless the LORD, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.
2 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;
4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;
5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
6 The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.
7 He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
8 The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy
.

David said, Bless His holy name. Let's talk about that name. Back in Exodus chapter 3, God appeared to Moses and sent Moses down to Epypt to deliver Israel. He told Moses, "Tell them I AM sent you. Thou shalt say to the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you."   I am glad that God is an I AM God, not an I was or I will be some day.

Jesus came to Bethany after that Lazarus had died and Martha, Lazarus' sister, came to meet him and said, "Lord, if Thou hadst been here my brother had not died. She said Lord if you had been. I want to tell you Jesus is not a has been.
Hebrews 13:8 says Jesus Christ the same yesterday and today and forever. Bless His Name.

In this world your health may change, your circumstnace may change, world leaders change all the time, nations rise and fall, but there is a lighthouse, a landmark, a safehouse that stays the same. Isaiah called Him the Everlasting Father, the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, Wonderful Counsellor, (Isaiah 9:6) and He is the same. In John 8:58 Jesus said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you before Abraham was I AM."

Forget not His benefits. Friends, this Word is not talking about living in the memories of the past. The ministry of Jesus didn't end in the tomb. Don't let His benefits slip from you. Keep them in the now.

 Much of the church world has forsaken the present benefits of the name of the Lord. Like Martha, they are looking at the Christ of yesterday or the Christ of someday. God told Moses I AM. Jesus told Martha I AM. We need an I AM Savior. None of the world's other religions can offer you an I AM Savior, a Savior for not only the future, but a Savior for every day. Jesus is the name of Power for all time.

Some present day benefits:
First of all turn to Acts 4:12. Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. Verse 3 of our opening text says, Who forgiveth all thine iniquities: who healeth all thy diseases.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit

Thank God for His present cleansing power and grace.
 I can remember when our daughter was little. She would play outside in the dirt and just be a mess sometimes. She would have dirt in her hair and dirt rings around her neck. My wife would smile and put her in the tub, because under all that dirt was our baby.

 If you can believe it, that's how Jesus loves you. As we go through our daily lives, this world will leave a lot of dirt on us. It will clutter our soul and fill our minds, but bless the name of Jesus, there is a fountain that cleanses and we can come to the water of the washing of the Word, and get a bath and be continually cleansed.

Another present day benefit:
 Who healeth all thy diseases. Don't forget healings.

 Have you ever gone to the store and bought and paid for something then left without it? Have you ever went and got everything you needed for a scrumptuous sandwich and came home to find out you forgot the bread?
 Jesus called deliverance from the devil the children's bread. Jesus bought and paid for our healing with His own blood. He wants us to have it.

I did a little search and found 38 scriptures (5 pages) that pertain to healing and blessings that God wants us to have. (This is not a complete search.)

 There are Christians that have a knowledge of the world's remedies. They can tell you from memory how many Tylenol to take or what nerve pill is the best. They can sing every word of the antacid commercial, but they don't know what Matthew 8:17 says or what I Peter 2:24 declares.

A blessing of God we forget about is a blessing we won't claim. I love this verse here in Psalm 103:3, Who healeth all thy diseases. Some people think that God will heal some things, but if the doctor tells them incurable, then it's time to dig the hole and buy the flowers, but this verse says, "Who healeth ALL thy diseases." Don't forget this benefit.

 Verse 4 of our opening text says, Who redeemeth thy life from destruction who crowneth thee with loving kindness and tender mercies. Now we know that Jesus redeemed our souls from hell. Praise God, that would have been enough, but if you can receive this, when we were born again, He also gave us, as benefits of that new birth, some privileges that are for the here and now.

 1. The authority to use His name. In My name you can cast out devils and lay hands on the sick.
 2. The privilege of prayer in His name. He has given us promises of provision. These promises redeem our present life from the destruction of fear, worry, depression, guilt, hopelessness, all the things that destroy the fullness of life. We don't have to live under the clouds of these things, if we forget not His benefits.

Sometimes we spend all day worrying when we could have spent the time praying. I have found that prayer takes less time than worry and is 100% more effective.

 II Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.   Fear will destroy, but we are redeemed from the spirit of fear.

 I Peter 5:7 says, Casting all your care upon Him; for He careth for you. We are redeemed from care.

Verse 5 says, He satisfieth thy mouth. He satisfies. He renews. Bless the holy name of Jesus!  We have only named a few of His benefits. Are you satisfied? Are you where you can receive His benefits?

 Jesus gave an important key to receiving all His benefits in Matthew 6:33. Seek ye first the kingdom of God (These benefits are for those that are in the kingdom.) and His righteousness: (We can't earn any of these benefits. They come by receiving the work that Jesus has done on our behalf. Seek His righteousness.) and all these things shall be added unto you.

 Have you come to Jesus? He is the only way.
Christian, are you consumed by the cares of this world because you have forgotten His benefits? Is it time for a cleansing? You can be cleansed and renewed today. It's up to you.
 FORGET NOT HIS BENEFITS!
