Psalm 27:13 I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

I have taken the whole verse for my text. But I am not sure that I will keep to it. The words that I want us to catch hold are these: “Unless I had believed to see.
Most people see to believe, but in David's case the process was reversed, and put into spiritual order. He believed to see and this is the message.

The prayer of my heart is that we may be led to believe to see. And that those who have been trying to see in order to believe may now come and trust in Jesus, and believe and see the grace of God here in this life.
I pray that instead of seeing in order to believe we can learn to believe in order to see.

You need to notice David said if it hadn't been for the fact he believed he would see the goodness of the Lord. In other words, he wasn't there now, but in his spirit he could see himself blessed.

That is a word for the church: If you are going to get to your blessing, you must, in the midst of your circumstance, see yourself blessed. If you are going to get the victory, you must see beyond your current state and see yourself victorious.

God told Abraham, "Look up from where you are to the place I'm bringing you to."

Genesis 13:14 And the LORD said unto Abram, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the place where thou art northward, and southward, and eastward, and westward.

Friends, if you can't, by faith, see it now, you aren't walking by faith.
That is why Hebrews 11:1 says, Faith is the substance of things HOPED for, the evidence of things NOT SEEN.

You don't need faith if you already have it.   But until you get it, you need to see it in your spirit.   If you're sick, see yourself healed.   If you're broke, see yourself prospering.   If you're lonely, see yourself comforted.   If you're bound, see yourself delivered. The bottom line is: If you don't, by faith, see it now, you probably won't see it then!

Listen, you may not have the breakthrough right now, but the sheer knowledge that one is coming is enough to keeping you from fainting.

Isn't that what David said? "I'm believing to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

If we could grab a hold of that today, my goodness, how life would be different. Suddenly our smile will come back. We'll start singing a song of praise again. Joy will come back to us. And His mercies will become new to us every morning.

I can't tell you when you're going to come out of this valley.   I'm just here to tell you that somehow God is going to do it.   But in the mean time, don't let go of the fact that weeping may endure for a night, but joy truly is coming in the morning.

Faintness of heart is a common infirmity, even to a man who who slew a lion, a bear, and a giant named Goliath.   David was subject to attacks of faintness, but David knew where to put his faith and trust. He knew Who to trust.

You know, my mind goes to the book of Job. And, by the way, God saw fit to dedicate a whole book in the Bible, 42 chapters, to Job's story.
I don't think Job knew why these things were happening to him.   But here is what kept Job from fainting and giving up and giving in:
Job 13:15 Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before Him.
Like David, Job maintained his trust in the Lord.

A renewing of faith and trust brings forth a renewing of strength.
It is by believing that we see “the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living."

How many believe if Jesus said it, it is the truth? Well, Jesus said in Mark 16:17-18, And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.

Notice that signs follow believers.   Believers don't follow signs.   We have too many Christians saying, "God, you show me some signs and I'll believe", while God is saying, "You believe and I will show you some signs."

Mark 9:23 Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.

Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

Maybe you are here today and in a circumstance where man has said that it is impossible.   Maybe your job situation is impossible, maybe your health, maybe your finances, maybe your marriage.   I believe God has given me this message for you.   If you can believe to see the goodness of God, nothing is impossible.

If you are in a situation today that man has labeled impossible, I want you, right now, in your heart, to just make a big stamp across the title of your problem: POSSIBLE WITH GOD! Just go ahead. Stamp your impossible problem, POSSIBLE WITH GOD today.

Hebrews 11:6 for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.

I want to encourage you today.   Don't faint, but believe to see The Goodness of God.

I want look at one more Scripture.
Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: (inner man) wait, I say, on the LORD.
