All Things In Your Hand Prospers
   Blessings and Obedience

Deuteronomy 30: 9 And the LORD thy God will make thee plenteous in every work of thine hand, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy land, for good: for the LORD will again rejoice over thee for good, as he rejoiced over thy fathers:
Deuteronomy 30:10 If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul.

I want to talk to you about walking in obedience, and how it helps us to live a blessed, prosperous and victorious life. I want to say first off, success is not measured by our possessions. I am not saying God can not bless you unless you do everything just right. None of us gets everything right all of the time. We all fall short, we all make mistakes and miss it at times. I am not blessed because of my goodness nor because I am perfect but rather because I belong to Christ. My blessings are not because of who I am but because of who Jesus is, and what he done for me.
But there is something to be said about obedience.  Walking in obedience will bring you blessings.

My hope is to encourage you to live in victory rather than defeat when the enemy comes knocking. But you wont live in this victory against the enemy if you won’t walk in obedience to Gods Word and to the Voice of the Lord. It is through Him and his Word that we become more than Conquerors.

I want to start off showing you about your heritage, so you can see who you are and that it is Gods' desire to bless you. Then we will get into obedience a little more.
When we talk about Gods chosen people many times people think you are speaking of Israel, that may be true to some degree, Israel is his people, but Israel is not all of his people. The bible says that we too are his chosen people.
1 Peter 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light;
This scripture is talking about you and me.

Jesus told some men in John chapter 8, these men were of the offspring of Abraham, yet Jesus told them that they were not the children of Abraham. That Abraham was not their father, but that they were of their father the devil, who is the father of lies, who’s deeds they done after and not after that of Abraham.
So who is the children of Abraham? If you're born again, then you are the children of Abraham and therefore Abraham’s blessings are yours.
Matthew 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father: for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto Abraham.
Galatians 3:7 Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham
Galatians 3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.
In Old Testament scriptures you will often hear God referred to as the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. People of that day knew who the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was. He was a God that showed himself strong and powerful on their behalf.  Let me show you something… They also knew who the God of Daniel was in Daniel’s day. The king made a decree, that every dominion in his kingdom were to tremble and fear before the God of Daniel (Daniel 6:26), A king called Shadrach Meshach and Abednego servants of the Most High God, because there was none other that could deliver after this sort (Daniel 3:26,29). That is a powerful God.
We serve a powerful wonder working God and he still has the ability to move with that same power for you and I as well. People should be noticing the God of (your name).

When Israel walked with God they walked in victory against their enemy. That means we should be a people walking in victory against our enemy. God doesn’t love Israel any more than he loves you and me. If his desire was to see them blessed and prosperous then his desire is to see you and me blessed and prosperous.
Romans 2:11 For there is no respect of persons with God.

As we look a little farther into our heritage you will see not only are we the children of Abraham, entitled to the blessings of Abraham, But if you have accepted Christ as your savior and as the Lord of your life, you are also a son or daughter of the Living God. We are not just his people, we are his children, and children have privileges
John 1:12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Have you received him?
Do you believe on the name of Jesus?
Then you have been adopted in...
Romans 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

Let's take a look at some scriptures in Luke that portrays God as a Father.
Because it is a Father’s desire to bless his children. If we desire to bless our children we know Gods' desire is to bless his. We are created in his image.
Luke 11:10 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.
Luke 11:11 If a son shall ask bread of any of you that is a father, will he give him a stone? or if he ask a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?
Luke 11:12 Or if he shall ask an egg, will he offer him a scorpion?
Luke 11:13 If ye then, being evil (meaning carnal, or of the flesh) know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?
One commentary that I read on this scripture called this "giving of the Holy Ghost"  the best gift and that which includes every good gift.

Gods desire was to bring the children of Israel into the promise land. But their disobedience got in the way at times. It left them wondering in the wilderness 40 years on what was actually an 11 day journey. I believe the Lord wants to bring his children into a place of blessings as well. What I want to show you is walking in obedience will bring you the blessings of God.

If you are walking in his ways, and doing what he speaks to you to do, then blessings will follow you. He will bless your path. Look at this.
Deuteronomy 28:1,2 And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God. (There is an “IF” in that scripture)

I want to make sure I make it clear that blessings does not mean lack of troubles, trials, tribulation and temptations. Gods blessings are often followed by the devils oppositions. The devil is going to give you an opportunity to loose the blessing that God desires for you to have.
Look closely at these next two scriptures (what’s in the black is mine)…
Philippians 2:15That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom(the crooked and perverse) ye shine as lights in the world;
Psalm 126:5 They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.
Even as a born again Christian we are going to face some things, and there are going to be some bumps in the road and even some tears at times. If we are going to sow in tears, then we must know there is going to be some pain or discomfort involved. Other wise it would not be called sowing in tears. I am not going to tell you that living a life of a Christian is going to be a walk in the park, with no more pain and sorrow or no more problems, but we WILL reap in joy and shine as a light to the lost, and to the rest of the world, if we will press through and not give up. We may face things at times, but we don’t face them alone.
We need to pray and seek the Lord and look for his direction and leading and FOLLOW IT, that is obedience.
It is in those trials we need to remember that he is our father and responsible for taking care of us and to supply our needs
Philippians 4: 19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
My God will sustain me in ALL things. Whatever the need be, he will supply it.

We also need to remember what the bible says about trouble...
Isaiah 54:17 No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.
That means no evil things, no bad reports, no frightening troubles and storms that come our way are able to overtake us and prosper against us. Stand firm on that word, and tell that to the devil next time he tries to discourage you.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
Look at this scripture in the New Living Translation…
Matthew 6:33 Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.  Be obedient and live according to the Word of God, and the voice of the Lord.
What are some of the ways the Lord asks us to live or walk in? How about love, compassion, mercy, and forgiveness. Just to name a few. And not in strife, anger, bitterness and unbelief. Remember we will reap what we sow, if we sow in strife we will reap strife back at us, if we sow mercy and love to others we will reap mercy and love. Troubled times do come but we have a Father who loves us, and in Luke 12:32 it says it is the Fathers good pleasure to give us the kingdom

Watch this…
I am going to use KJV for Romans 8:31-34 but for verses 35-37 I am going to switch to the Amplified Translation.
Romans 8:31 What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?
Romans 8:32 He that spared not his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how shall he not with him also freely give us all things?
Romans 8:33 Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.
Romans 8:34 Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us.

Romans 8:35 Who shall ever separate us from Christ's love? Shall suffering and affliction and tribulation? Or calamity and distress? Or persecution or hunger or destitution or peril or sword?
Romans 8:36 Even as it is written, For Thy sake we are put to death all the day long; we are regarded and counted as sheep for the slaughter.
Romans 8:37 Yet amid all these things we are more than conquerors and gain a surpassing victorythrough Him Who loved us.
I like that. What a blessing we gain the surpassing victory!

When I was reading on blessings I found it amazing how man times in the scriptures, that He tells us the works of our hands are to be blessed. But I notice that a lot of these scriptures i am about to quote you are conditional, something is required on our part. If you are obedient, walking according to the Word, listening to his voice and obeying what he tells you to do, ALL THINGS in your hand are designed to prosper. He will lead you into a place of blessings. Sure there will be challenges come up along the way, but if you will work the Word the Word will work for you.  Did you know we are to be above only and not beneath,
Deuteronomy 28:13 And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:

You will reap blessings if you faint not...
Galatians 6:9 And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.

Joshua 1:7 Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper withersoever thou goest.

1 Kings 2:3 Andkeep the charge of the LORD thy God, towalk in his ways, tokeep his statutes, and his commandments, and his judgments, and his testimonies, as it is written in the law of Moses, that thou mayest prosper in all that thou doest, and whithersoever thou turnest thyself:

Deuteronomy 29:9 Keep therefore the words of this covenant, and do them, that ye may prosper in all that ye do.

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
We are to be doers of the Word.

Isaiah 1:18 Come now, and let us reason together, saith the LORD: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool. (19) If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the good of the land:

Listen to this next scripture,
Psalms 1:3 And he(talking about the doer of the word) shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
I heard someone say once, "set your hand to something, you may not know what work God has called you to, but you don’t have to sit idle in a church waiting to hear your calling”. That is a very true statement, walk in his ways, obey his voice, and set your hand to something and let God bless it and prosper you and let that be a witness to others around you as well.
Genesis 39:3 And his master saw that the LORD was with him, and that the LORD made all that he did to prosper in his hand.
Remember what we read earlier...
Deuteronomy 28:2 And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
What an awesome testimony that is to an unbeliever, for them to see a child of God who is obedient to the Word Of God and to the Voice Of The Lord, that they see the prosperous blessings of God on ALL that they do. That they see you overtaken in the blessings, even when going through troubled times

We are the only bible some people see. We ARE the written epistles of Christ. With the Word written in our hearts.
I want to tell you something about being a written epistle. Weather we like it or not, weather we are good or bad witnesses for the Lord, lost men read us. Think on that for a minute, while we are reading the bible (or choosing to neglect to do so) they are reading you and me. Every move we make, the things we do, the things we say, how we act, how we react, and the way we live out our life.  What are they reading when they read you?

If you don’t know the Lord Jesus as your Personal Savior, I want to encourage you to call upon him today. Though trouble and trials may come your way, he will be there to help you, lead and guide you through and bless your path along the way.
Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
Matthew 11:29-30 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light
God Bless
